Answers to common questions regarding the assignment/Internet Project:
- You can use Dreamweaver, Frontpage or similar to create your web pages.
- 'Cookies' are not covered in this course.
- There is no set length for Part A, provided all points and relevant issues addressed, and all tasks completed. A clear and concise answer is better than a long answer that is very repetitive.
- The web page and database should relate to the same company, but the database does not need to be connected/linked to the web page.
- Assessment Criteria include the following:
- web page and database working correctly
- points/issues addressed adequately and completely in the form of a report
- good business planning
- good presentation of report
- good web design
- You can hand your work in on CDs (or disks) together with a hard copy (printout) of your report.
- There may be a question on this work in the exam .
- The assignment will be marked in Internet Explorer (IE). You should try to ensure that all your web pages work in IE.
- In the database exercise there is a group id field. This is not required for the assignment/project as it would have the same value for every record. If appropriate you can use a category id field, otherwise do not include it.
