Industry links

Staffs with the Division of Economic & Financial Studies (EFS) are encouraged to become actively involved as partners with industry and to work closely with leading practitioners and professionals within industry.

Our industry links provide a strong communication flow from our research into business and from business into our research and curriculum, keeping it relevant and in tune with modern needs.

EFS encourages active involvement from business and industry in a broad range of partnerships including:

• Student internships.
• Student prizes and scholarships.
• Guest lectures by business and industry leaders.
• Workplace-supervised student assignments.
• Division and Department Advisory Board membership.
• Sponsorship of customised skills workshops for students or special events.
• Joint academic and business/industry research projects.

Plans are in place to develop more employment sponsorships and internships to give students greater opportunities to combine industry experience with their studies.
