The Division’s postgraduate coursework programs have been developed to provide an excellent foundation for those evolving from other careers into business as well as for those already in business wishing to drive their careers to the next level. Our global focus based on very strong international business studies and partnerships, in Asia and Europe, deliver a multidimensional skill-set ideal for today’s worldwide economy.

The Degree of Master is usually undertaken by coursework in specified fields of study though it may include a dissertation on a special topic in preparation for a Postgraduate Research Degree. The admission requirement for postgraduate coursework programs is normally the possession of a Degree of Bachelor from a recognised university or other tertiary institution with major studies in the appropriate field.

As well as Masters Degrees in the subject areas of Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Information Technology and Computing, Marketing and Statistics, coursework programs can also include Postgraduate Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate courses.

Multi-disciplinary courses spanning these subject areas are also available. They are modern business degrees that enable graduates to study units across a range of disciplinary areas offered by the Division of Economic and Financial Studies and provide an opportunity to acquire an interdisciplinary understanding of business with a concentration in at least one major area of business activity.

Double degree coursework programs which provide a Masters business qualification with Masters qualifications in any one of several other disciplines are also available.

Macquarie University also has an arrangement with International Partners that allows students to undertake Master of International Business international study programs.

The Macquarie Graduate School of Management also offers courses that may be of interest, including the Master of Business Administration (MBA), the Master of Management, Postgraduate Diploma and Postgraduate Certificate.

The Division also offers Postgraduate Research Degrees through the Departments of Accounting and Finance, Actuarial Studies, Business, Economics and Statistics and through the Centre for Applied Finance and the Graduate Accounting and Commerce Centre.
