Representatives from Macquarie International provide general information in relation to services available, living in Sydney, safety issues and the like.

Central Commencement Program - Domestic students
This is a compulsory one day event for new HDR students at Macquarie University.
5 - 12 March
Division Commencement Week
Continuing students and staff are encouraged to attend to show support and meet their new colleagues.
5 MarchDivision Commencement Welcome EveningThis is a compulsory event for students who have started since the 2007 Commencement Program on 8 March 2007.
Venue: Whitely Room, Level 3, SAM Building (C10A)
Time: 5pm–7pm, 5 March 2008.

Macquarie University Postgraduate Research Fund (MQPGRF)

EFS Deadline Round 2 2008

You are supported in your application by a grant writing workshop and an interview preparation workshop provided by our Academic Writing Specialists.

Applications for MQPGRF are submitted to Kerry Todd-Smith, Division Research Manager, prior to the grant closing date. Kerry will review your grant application and address any issues which may arise before final submission. Applications must be forwarded to Kerry 31 March for the 11 April closing date submission.

Division Research Expo The EFS Research Expo is an annual get together where all research students give a 10 minute presentation of their work and field questions for 5 minutes. It is a great opportunity for networking with other students and staff in the Division.

Research Protocol PresentationThe Transition to Research Program is designed to support your preparation for the Research Protocol.
October Annual Progress Report Your annual progress report will be sent to you from HDRO. This is to track the progress of your research. There is a section for you to complete before forwarding to your supervisors. New students are also required to meet Research Protocol requirements by 6 months full time equivalent (Full Time Equivalent)
