Recommended Prior Knowledge
Several core units in all finance programs require a minimum HSC Mathematics Performance Band 2 or its equivalent. Students not meeting this standard will be required to enrol in an approved mathematics unit in their first semester of study. Mathematics Extension 1 or equivalent is recommended but not essential.
Accreditation
The Bachelor of Applied Finance and associated double degrees have been approved by ASIC (Australian Securities and Investments Commission) authorised assessors as meeting ASIC’s training requirements in relation to PS 146 compliance for derivatives, financial planning, foreign exchange, general insurance, generic knowledge, life insurance, managed investments, securities and superannuation; subject to the inclusion of appropriate units in the program of study.
