Information
The full-year offering covers the same material as the one semester offering of STAT170, but at a slower pace. We take two semesters to cover the material in this unit.
Students who have not completed HSC mathematics or who have not attempted any mathematics for a long period of time would normally enrol in the full-year offering.
Students should attend a two hour lecture and a one hour tutorial or computer practical (alternating) each week.

If you are having problems with the material in Stat170 you could:
- seek help from the Statistics Staff in Office Hours
- go to the Numeracy Centre or attend their workshops
- use the support material on the Stat170 CD
- listen to the STAT170 iLectures
- obtain a copy of Statpac from the bookshop, a series of exercises and accompanying tapes
