This page will contain information pertaining to the half-year offering of the unit. General notices will be outlined on the Notices page, so it is each student's responsibility to visit this site on a regular basis.
A copy of the Unit Outline will be distributed during lectures in the first week of University.
Note that none of the online quizzes are available until Week 2. Also note that tutorials and practicals do not start until Week 2.
Login Information
- To access assignments, weekly exercises, iLectures and other resources you will need to login to WebCT.
- Username: your student ID
- Password: your WebCT password sent to you by the University
- To access the online quizzes, you need to login to the GNATs.
- Username: your student ID.
- Password: initially your student ID. You will need to change it on first login.
Passwords
For both gnats and wasps your login is your student ID.
You need to change your password to access GNATs and Wasps separately. We suggest that you make both passwords the same.
If you have forgotten your WebCT password, go to http://www.lib.mq.edu.au/help/passwords.html#idtable.
If you have forgotten your password to access GNATs please fill in a form from ERIC.
Your password will be reset to the original ie. student ID.Extra Help
If you are having problems with the material in Stat170 you could:
- seek help from the Statistics Staff in Office Hours
- go to the Numeracy Centre or attend their workshops
- use the support material on the Stat170 CD
- listen to the STAT170 iLectures
- obtain a copy of Statpac from the bookshop, a series of exercises and accompanying tapes
