Actuarial Studies

The Department of Actuarial Studies has been successfully delivering quality actuarial programs for over 30 years and has been chosen by the Institute of Actuaries of Australia as a Centre of Excellence and its preferred supplier of the distance education Part II professional qualification subjects.

Completing Actuarial studies offers students a range of choices within structured programs of accredited study with actuarial skills as a foundation. Students can then either continue to specialise in this core discipline, or branch out to pursue a major in accounting, applied finance, business law, computing, demography, econometrics, marketing, mathematics or statistics. Double degree programs allow students to combine their actuarial studies program with law, finance, statistics, mathematics, economics or computing.
