The Department of Business, in the Division of Economic and Finance Studies, encompasses the fields of marketing, business administration, human resource management and demographics. Academic members of our staff specialise in one or more of these disciplines. This diversity makes us unique, and allows us to offer units in a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs .

The study of business provides a broad and comprehensive preparation for a career in business management. Our programs cover the range of skills needed by modern managers such as economics, finance, marketing, IT, human resources, accounting, business law, strategic management, organisational behaviour, statistics and a choice of electives.

Our specialist programs including Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, International Business, Marketing and Human Resource Management provide the skills required for graduates in these professional disciplines. In many cases, students can also combine their studies with other degrees such as Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Applied Finance for even wider options.

At the postgraduate level we offer the coursework programs Master of Commerce in Marketing and deliver units in many other postgraduate programs, We also offer postgraduate research degrees such Master of Commerce/Master of Economics (Honours) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD).
