Indra’s opinion on accounting and business matters has been often been sought and broadcast by television and newspapers. In September 2004, his research visit to Sri Lanka funded by the Macquarie University New Staff Grant resulted in Indra been interviewed by Sri Lanka’s national television (Rupavahini Corporation) “Eye” Channel and telecasting Indra’s opinion on human capital and tertiary accounting curriculum in their national news. Indra’s opinion on intellectual capital and international accounting was also reported by journalists of leading national newspapers in Sri Lanka, Financial Times Sunday and Sunday Leader .
Prior to commencing his academic career with Macquarie University in 2003, Indra worked in 20 organisations spanning across industry sectors in the private and public sector, as an employee in early stage and as a consultant at the latter stage of his career.
Over the past four years, Indra has published over 40 articles across a range of academic disciplines on emotional capital, higher education, intellectual capital, international accounting, and knowledge management. Indra has presented his ideas and research findings in numerous international refereed conferences. He has also presented his ideas in several other institutions and at universities. Indra's research work has been supported over the past few years by grants from both national and international funding institutions.
