The Division of Economics and Financial Studies (EFS) has a reputation as a world class education provider.  We strive to provide the best teaching practices and learning environment for our students.  We achieve this by continually seeking feedback from our stakeholders and doing research in learning and teaching practices.  And so we adapt our methods to ensure we satisfy the different needs of our students, and produce graduates with capabilities demanded by industry.

The learning and teaching principles and practice in EFS basically has three components, namely:

• Course development and review 
  

  EFS offers programs that are regularly reviewed to ensure that they have intellectual rigour, are firmly based on research and industry content, and develop a comprehensive range of generic capabilities.

• Teaching                                                                          

  EFS expects and rewards good teaching. We believe it is the right of all students to receive teaching that enhances their learning and is informed by research into both the discipline area and learning and teaching.

• Assessment of learning
   
  EFS continually monitors assessments and examinations to ensure they fairly measure learning.
