ABS Research Codes - RFCD, SEO, FOR
In March 2008 the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) announced a revised Socio-Economic Objective (SEO) Classification; and a new Fields of Research (FOR) Classification to replace the Research Fields, Courses and Disciplines (RFCD) Classification.
This ABS website has the FOR codes. Scroll to the bottom of the page for tables which align the FOR and RFCD codes, and the old and revised SEO codes.

- All applications are reviewed by committee members using an online system, however the full Human Ethics Committee meets monthly to discuss applications which are complex and require further deliberation, or which may be sensitive in nature. Although there are no closing dates for submissions, materials that need to be reviewed by the monthly full committee are required to be submitted 2 weeks prior to the meeting.
