Profile

Prior to joining EFS in July 2007, Cynthia was Deputy Dean of Graduate Studies and Head of the Marketing Group at the University of Newcastle. She also has held academic appointments at the University of New South Wales, University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology and University of California, Los Angeles.  Cynthia consults in the area of social network analysis, with much of her activities concentrated in professional associations, community health and education.

Teaching Interests

Cynthia teaches in the areas of consumer behaviour, quantitative and qualitative research methods, branding and social network analysis.

Research Interests

Cynthia’s principal areas of research include: business and consumer networks, social marketing and hedonic consumption. Her research has been published in Social Networks, Field Methods, Social Cognition, Australasian Marketing Journal, and Research in Community Mental Health.
