Elizabeth Christopher specialises in cross cultural studies. She worked in the private sector for many years before returning to university life in 1979. She taught at the University of New South Wales until 1983 and was awarded a PhD from the former School of Organisational Behaviour (now the Australian Graduate School of Management). Through the 1980s and '90s she was a visiting professor at various US universities. She has been teaching international cross cultural management at Macquarie University since 2000 as an adjunct professor.
She is a part-time faculty member of the Honolulu-based Japan-American Institute of Management Science (JAIMS); is an alumna of the East-West Center, Hawaii; and has taught also in Japan and the UK. She still presents papers occasionally at international conferences; is a reviewer for international journals; and has published quite widely in her field.
