Richard Marriott is the principal of Altair Financial Consulting and has 18 years experience in investment banking, with both large and small organisations.
Initially trained as an electrical engineer in New Zealand, Richard worked with NZ Telecom and RNZN, leaving the Navy in 1983 as a Lieutenant Commander.
Subsequently Richard completed an MBA and moved to Sydney where he worked for Philips before joining TransCity merchant bank in 1985. Since that time Richard has worked for a number of investment banks including CitiCorp, and helped establish three investment banking partnerships. He has also acted in the role of director for a number of private companies.
From 1990 to 1993 Richard was the Director of the MBA program, and Senior Lecturer in finance, at Victoria University of Wellington in NZ. Since 1993 he has been an adjunct lecturer in finance and accounting at both Sydney University and Macquarie University. During this period Richard also completed an MCom in accounting and qualified as a CPA.
In 1998 Richard established Altair Financial Consulting to offer financial advisory, valuation, and capital raising services to corporate clients.
